Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club Review – A Reminder of the Joy of Golf
Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club
Opened only in 2000, Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club has rapidly become one of Scottsdale’s favorite courses. By combining a championship caliber layout, great views, convenient location and affordable green fees, it comes with no surprise that Silverado has emerged as such a popular venue.
Located right off Indian Bend Rd. in Central Scottsdale, the course is easily accessible for many residents:

Golfers of all skill levels can enjoy this course with its moderate length (6,313 yards from the back tees, 5,734 yards from the white tees) and mostly generous fairways. The course takes advantage of all available real estate, cleverly laid out among adjacent housing developments and the Arizona Canal Trail. A very nice aspect of Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club is the amount of large, mature trees that not only line numerous holes but also are directly in play. As many of the tee boxes are slightly elevated, the golfer will notice a superior visual of the hole being played, not to mention fantastic panoramic views of beautiful Scottsdale and its surrounding mountain ranges – most notably, Camelback Mountain. Overall, Scottsdale Silverado Golf Club is a great experience that presents the golfer with a challenging, but fair test of golf. With its reasonable green fees, you would be hard pressed to find a better value in Scottsdale.

Silverado also includes a great 9-hole executive course it calls “The Silver Pony Junior Challenge Course”. The course is physically located on the front 9, where a special fourth set of purple tee boxes are located. From these tee boxes, the holes range from 80-200 yards in length. The course is a great way for new golfers, both young and old, to develop their skills and enjoy this great game. Amazingly, the course is free for kids 16 and under, and $10 for ages 17 and up.

For local residents seeking the “hottest” deal in town, Silverado offers an awesome loyalty card each summer. It’s usually around $115 up-front, and then $12 per round all summer long. If you’re willing to tough out the heat to enjoy some great golf, this is definitely a hot deal to check out. When it becomes available, they’ll post it on their Silverado Specials Page.
They also recently added a warm-up area for players to loosen up and prepare for their round.
